GoldPayroll is built to be privacy-first. In plain terms: the holdings you enter into Vault Report stay on your own device, and we do not require an account to use the core tools.

Your Vault Report data stays on your device

When you use Vault Report, the inventory you enter — items, weights, purchase details, notes, and snapshots — is stored locally in your web browser (using its built-in local storage) on the device you are using. This information is not transmitted to or stored on GoldPayroll servers. If you clear your browser data, use a different device or browser, or use private/incognito mode, that data will not carry over. There is no automatic backup; use the export (PDF, XLSX, CSV) features to keep your own copies.

Live price data

To show current prices, your browser requests data directly from third-party market-data providers (for example, a precious-metals price API for gold and silver, and a cryptocurrency price source for Bitcoin). When your browser makes those requests, the providers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, as is normal for any web request. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account to use the current tools, and we do not collect names, contact details, or holdings through Vault Report. Like most websites, our hosting provider may process standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymized traffic — for example which pages are visited and general audience trends — so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and may process information such as your IP address and device/browser details on our behalf; this is used for site-health and usage measurement, not to personally identify you, and we do not use advertising or ad-targeting cookies. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or your browser's cookie controls. For details on how Google processes this data, see Google's privacy policy. The local storage used by Vault Report is separate, is not a cookie, and is never shared with us.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include (such as your email address and message) and use it only to respond to you.

Future accounts and affiliates

We may later offer optional accounts with cloud-synced vaults; if and when we do, this policy will be updated to explain exactly what is stored and how. GoldPayroll may also include affiliate links to third parties (such as dealers or storage providers); those parties operate under their own policies.

Children

GoldPayroll is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
